I recently started to work out of a co-work space.
77 minutes into my first day, I closed my laptop and closed my eyes. Oof! Head heavy and jaw tight, I took a few deep breaths. I had been more focused than I typically was at home — and I totally missed the very important little break I typically take every hour.
When I’m not teaching back-to-back sessions online, I commit to closing my computer every hour to do something rejuvenating: breathe, stretch, walk, close my eyes.
Here in the co-work space on my very first day (that felt kind of like the nervous first day of school) I wondered if I’d get a lot of stares if I stretched in the foyer. So, I opted to go outside. I still got a few stares, but the sunshine and my fresh energy made it well worth it.
Maybe you’re navigating your own office transition. How’s it going? How can I support you in feeling energetic and connected to your body throughout your working day?
Spinal scan. Continuing with our recent theme of spinal care, this is a spinal scan. Position yourself at the edge of your chair and tune into sensation in your spine. Practice with me at the top of the page.
