This winter, I’ve been cocooning.
While navigating big transitions in life and business, I’ve pulled back from a lot of outward-facing engagements.
I’m not teaching in person. I took a long break from social media. I pulled back from outward-facing endeavors so I could channel my focus inward.
That redirected energy has nourished meaningful growth behind the scenes.
I started serving professional teams through Well All Day programs. I’ve been energized by the shifts that team members are experiencing — more awareness, more calm, less time fire-fighting, more time creating impact.
And, I’ve been spending extra time outside, savoring the quiet gifts of winter: crunching across frost glittering on green grass, the aliveness of cold air in my lungs, watching the tops of fir trees dance in the last light.
This season of cocooning has been serving me well. I’ve found that focusing on depth, rather than breadth, has made my work and my life more meaningful, fulfilling, and joyful.
Now, as I look forward to spring, I’m choosing what to nurture and grow. As I begin to wonder, “What’s next for Pause?” — I naturally turn to you.
So this week, instead of a tiny yoga video, I have a request:
If you enjoy Pause, please reply to this email.
You can reply with an emoji or a simple “I love Pause!” to let me know that this weekly note makes a positive impact on your wild and precious life.
In warm gratitude,
Catherine
